Jesus, where would I be without you?

Easter is right around the corner. This means bunnies and eggs!!

Sorry to break to you but Easter is NOT about eggs, and bunnies and candy. It's about Jesus!! Jesus?? What? Yes Jesus :)

I was up late last night, just thinking about where I would be right now if God hadn't taken the pain and died for me? I got so caught up in the moment. There are so many things I wouldn't have. I wouldn't have a church family where most my friends are, I wouldn't have hope that things will always get better, there would be no such thing as forgiveness, there would be no grace, and mercy, there would be no such things eternity. Just think about it, where would you be right now if that friend hadn't invited you to church, if you parents hadn't forced you to go to church every weekend and Wednesday. I would be so lost. You know if God hadn't taken up the cross. We would be no where.

John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.

Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

If Jesus hadn't taken the pain, we would be no where and we would have no purpose. Jesus loves you and I so much that He took the pain of nails being driven through His hands, and feet. He took the crown of thorns that pierced his skin. He took every whipping all so we could have eternal life! All for you. He loves you so much!!

I hope you celebrate the real meaning of Easter, and know that Easter isn't about eggs, and bunnies, and chocolate, and the movie "Hop." Easter is all for Jesus!!

Happy Easter to you all!!
- Jenna
